Sandwich was absolutely delicious. Crunchy, rosemary focaccia well stuffed with thinly sliced meats. Small store with only a few tables outside. Waited an hour and fifteen minutes between pulling a ticket and getting called to order. Likely won't do it again unless there is a much shorter wait.

Looking for a classic Italian sandwich in North Beach? Molinari's is the place to go. Perfect for grabbing a sandwich and having a park day. On the weekends it is SUPER crowded. We waited for over an hour to order sandwiches. Pro tip is to order ahead and pickup if you don't want to deal with the wait. Favorite was the Luciano Special - Prosciutto di Parma, Sweet or Hot Coppa, Fresh Mozzarella, Sun Dried Tomatoes, Onions, and Lettuce on Grilled Focaccia Bread Definitely planning to come back and buy some of the specialty Italian cheeses, meats, and other goodies they have in the shop!

Once again social media has brought me to a great deli spot! This deli store has a lot of goodies being that it is not that big inside. They offer pastas, sauces, seasonings, cookies, candies, focaccia breads, frozen pasta etc... However, I came for the sandwiches. I ordered the TURKEY BASIL PESTO on a sesame seed roll and a TURKEY on focaccia with the works. The turkey basil pesto was delicious! It has peppers, sun fried tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil pesto. It's a solid 9/10. They Turkey with the works was really good as well but I prefer the turkey basil pesto special. Also got some ginger molasses cookies to go. The cookies are soft, chewy and full of flavor. I'd definitely come back again.

Bustling Italian deli in north beach. Super fresh food and delicious simple flavors. This is definitely a neighborhood spot, with super friendly service and old jazz/italian music playing in the background to really add to the ambiance. I usually end up chatting with people in here for a bit! When you come inside you take a number and wait for them to call it if you're looking for a made to order sandwich. The wait will be long, but when you take a bite of the food you'll understand why the wait is so long. There's a bit of outdoor seating and if you ask anyone outside how their food is, they will actively show their enthusiasm. I get the south beach special on fresh baked rosemary focaccia and it's DELICIOUS. Fresh turkey sliced right in front of you, homemade basil spread, artichokes and sun dried tomatoes with a healthy helping of cheese. They also sell homemade pastas and sauces from the fridge! I've never tried it but definitely want to. Make sure you try out this super authentic spot in north beach!!

The Swiss make fine watches and the Italians make fine sandwiches of the same quality. I'm sure that both countries make much more than watches and food, but Molinari's blew my mind on my last visit. Holy hell was it worth the long wait. The Luciano on hard Italian was absolutely the right call. The hard, crusty and crunchy bread was superior to the soft bread that my wife went with. I know what everyone thinks, go with the soft bread, and save your gums, but they're totally wrong in this case. Their hard Italian roll and spicy coppa was out of this damn world. They even make their own meat, how cool is that! I love all the little bits and bobs all over the store from Italy. It makes me miss New Jersey where Italian American culture is a bit more common. Grab a number and get ready to enjoy the best damn sandwich of your life!!!

One of my favorite places in San Francisco! Drove by here once and saw so many people eating here so gave it a try and it was absolutely amazing! The place has been around for such a long time and the area was just filled with culture and history. I really enjoyed watching all of the locals order and all of the nearby chefs coming in as well. We got the Luciano and Grilled Focaccia special which were both so good and different. The Luciano had more toppings and focused heavily on the meats, while the Grilled Focaccia focused on the flavorful bell peppers. We also got the Arancini, both the ricotta & spinach and the beef one and they were a must get (ricotta and spinach for the win). Everyone here was so nice and helpful with their menu as well!

As a foodie nerd, I don't usually eat sandwiches while traveling, but Molinari's is legendary and was featured on an Anthony Bourdain episode. And it lived up to expectations! I hear lunch time was crowded, but I showed up at 9:30am with just couple extra customers, no wait! (Note: if you don't mind paying an extra couple bucks, you could also order online in advance, saving precious travel minutes). $14.75 Luciano Special: Prosciutto di Parma, Sweet or Hot Coppa, Fresh Mozzarella, Sun Dried Tomatoes, Onions, and Lettuce on Grilled Focaccia Bread...sounds fairly simple, but this was a magical and majestic combination of cured meats, buttery hot focaccia, and more...DELICIOUS! It makes for a weird breakfast, but it's damn good! A few tables are outside to enjoy your food and people watch. Friendly staff. The deli itself is filled with interesting and fun Italian goodies, albeit very expensive.
